Introduction

The Law Day In Program is targeted at Commerce students and comprises two lessons;

  1. The first lesson consists of a fictional criminal scenario involving an accused person, John. It includes a mock trial activity with supporting resources.

  2. The second lesson looks at the underpinning legal concepts through video interviews with legal professionals and unpacks what the professionals would have done in the case, along with question sheets for each interviewee and other activities to choose from.   (Please note we are still working on the videos for the MP and Police Officer, but have included the defence, prosecutor and judicial officer.)

THE LAW:  It is an offence to carry a knife in a public place unless you have a lawful excuse
